Dubai stores fined for violations

Jun 04, 2012

Several stores in Dubai have been fined up to Dhs250,000 by the Department of Economic Development (DED) for rules violations, Gulf News has reported. Most of these retailers were violating the consumer protection law and manipulating sales and promotions licenses granted to them presented wrong information on the discounted prices displayed, said Omar Bu Shahab, head of the commercial compliance and consumer protection division in DED.
