Saudi equity market cap falls in April

Saudi Arabia’s stock exchange, Tadawul has said its All-Share Index (TASI) fell 3.53% at the end of April over the close of the previous month, Arab News has reported. However, on an year-to-date basis the index registered an increase of 17.77% (1,140.74 points), the Arab world’s largest stock market said. Total equity market capitalisation at the end of April reached SR1.48trn ($395.03bn), down 3.78% over the close of the previous month, and the total number of transactions executed during the month fell 8.26% to 5.15 million, compared with 5.61 million traded in March, Tadawul said.
