Jordanian finance minister Suleiman Hafez has said tax evasion in the country, which he estimated at JD800m ($1.13bn), should come to an end, Jordan Times has reported. “They seize what is not their right and do not pay their due bills,” he told members of the Socio-Economic Council, stressing that the government has started to take the necessary measures in this regard.
