The UAE's Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme (SZHP) has approved the names of 209 Emiratis entitled for housing loans and grants for the current year in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al-Qaiwain, Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah, Wam has reported. Of the total number of beneficiaries, 40% with monthly salary above Dhs10,000 are entitled for housing loans, while 60% earning below this amount are entitled for housing grants. Until last May, the SZHP has issued 26,000 housing aid to citizens from across the emirates. The total number of houses handed over so far is 12,000, and work is underway to construct 14,000 more houses.
