Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, visited Al Nakheel Palace for a ceremony to sign a contract for the development of a residential complex for citizens in Gyathi. The project entails construction of 786 villas at a total cost of Dh1.145 billion.
The project is being developed in line with the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The contract was signed between Abu Dhabi General Services (Musanada) and the National Transport and Contracting Company and Al Dhabi Contracting Company.
Musanada appointed WS Atkins as the project consultant. The project will be developed through two contracts, the first is for construction of 433 residential units by Al Dhabi Contracting Company and the second for construction of 353 units by National Transport and Contracting Company. Work on the project is scheduled to begin this month and is due for completion in 20 months.
