On 17 November 2011 Austrian home improvement retailer bauMax opened its fifth store in Turkey. The new location in the Turkish capital Ankara has an area of approximately 15,000m2 and is the 155th Market in the bauMax group. With the slogan "Every Day Lowest Price" bauMax offers customers permanently low prices. Another feature of the Turkish store is that more than 75% of the suppliers come directly from Turkey, ensuring further jobs in the country. BauMax currently operates 155 stores in nine countries, five of them in Turkey, 67 in Austria, 24 in the Czech Republic, 15 in Slovakia, 15 in Hungary, three in Slovenia, seven in Croatia, 14 in Romania and five in Bulgaria.
