German home improvement retailer OBI plans to open four stores in the Russian Federation each year until 2016. Several projects are already under construction this year. OBI is building on the double-digit growth for transactions in comparable Russian OBI stores over the last three years and the 8% increase in customer footfall. The company currently has 19 stores in Russia, each featuring an average sales area of 11,000m².
