Pudong International Airport Terminal 1 will undergo a major renovation starting this year to expand its retail space, according to the Shanghai Airport Authority.
The board of the listed company agreed to invest RMB 1.4 billion in the renovation, said Jia Ruijun, vice president of Shanghai Airport Authority.
The project, which is slated to be finished by 2014, will add some 6,000 square meters of retail space to the terminal.
