The Shanghai government’s plans for the development of Pudong’s Qiantan area have been released, showing that it will be twice the size of Lujiazui, according to local media reports. The area will cover 3.5 million square meters and will focus on three major functions: a business headquarter hub, culture and media, and sports and leisure. Metro Lines 6 and 11 will serve the area, and the government plans to develop retail, residential, and hotel facilities.
