YTL Corp Bhd has recorded a net profit of RM281.65 million for Q4 ended 30 June 2012, up from RM279.43 million last year, while its revenue rose 2.34 percent to RM5.33 billion from RM5.21 billion.
For the full year, net profit jumped 9.77 percent to RM1.14 billion from RM1.03 billion in 2011 while revenue increased 11.35 percent to RM20.44 billion compared with last year's RM18.35 billion.
Tan Sri Dr Francis Yeoh, Group Managing Director at YTL, said the growth was spurred by its property development as well as its multi-utilities and cement operations.
On the other hand, YTL Power International Bhd's Q4 net profit dropped 17.9 percent to RM407.11 million, while revenue stood at RM4.16 billion.
For the full year, YTL Power's net profit was RM1.23 billion or nine percent lower than last year's RM1.36 billion.
Meanwhile, Mah Sing Group Bhd's Q2 2012 net profit increased to RM60.06 million from RM43.13 million over the same period last year.
The company's revenue rose from RM416.1 million to RM455.2 million this year.
For 1H 2012 ended 30 June, the company's net profit reached RM119.9 million and revenue was at RM912.9 million, indicating an improvement of 25 percent and 42 percent respectively over the same period last year.
Also, Mah Sing's revenue from property segment rose 29 percent to RM808.0 million.
