Auchan has opened its tenth local hypermarket in the €265 million Palas Iasi project owned by Iulian Dascalu. The hypermarket in Iasi comes with a new retail concept – Auchan City – that focuses on fresh food.
It has a sales area of 5,300 sqm and sells some 25,00 products out of which 1,500 are private labels. Patrick Espasa, the general manager of Auchan Romania, reconfirmed the company’s plans to reach 15 outlets in 2015 by investing €150 million.
