Veteran property manager Teo Poh Siang has authored Singapore's first-ever definitive guide to strata management, which tackles complex issues commonly faced by managing agents and strata property managers.
Titled A Practical Guide to Strata Management in Singapore (pictured), the book was launched at the Singapore National Library yesterday and is available in major bookstores for about S$30.
"Managing agents and strata managers find themselves having to understand legislation, legal cases, law books and codes of practices that are usually written in complex legal and technical jargon," said Teo, a Certified Property & Facility Manager.
"What I have tried to do is keep the language simple and draw on anecdotes to make legal and technical contents of strata management easily understood."
Additionally, the book offers practical solutions, including step-by-step approaches and important checklists for taking over a strata development, expectation management and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as operations and facilities management.
