Ruth's Chris Steak House has opened its first signature restaurant on level 4 of Marina Mandarin Singapore.
According to Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), which secured the 5,500 sq ft space for the US-based brand, the Singapore branch is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia and was brought in by Hasmore Ltd, the owner of the Ruth's Chris Steak House in Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Originally founded by Ruth Fertel, Ruth's Chris Steak House now owns over 120 outlets globally.
Stanley Ko, President of Hasmore Ltd, commented, "Asia has proven to be a strong market for Ruth's Chris, and we are pleased to be opening our first restaurant in Southeast Asia here in Singapore."
"We look forward to sharing Ruth's Chris unique cuisine, heritage and southern hospitality with guests living in and visiting Singapore, for years to come," he added.
Meanwhile, Lee Siew Ling, Associate Director for Retai at JLL Singapore, said, "This is indicative of a growing trend of new brands coming into the market, given the country's retail growth potential, not only from domestic demand but also the continually increasing tourist numbers."
