Dr. Ali Hepsen

Dr. Ali Hepsen is the member of Department of Finance of Istanbul University. He obtained his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Istanbul University. Dr. Hepsen has been teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Istanbul University since 2002. Dr. Hepsen's main areas of research are real estate investment, real estate finance and economics, real estate investment trusts and corporate restructuring. He has published books and academic papers related to real estate. He is a member of Reidin.com Property Indices Oversight Committee for reviewing and recommending changes in index policies and procedures, required data elements, qualifying properties, monthly index production review and taking of any other actions deemed necessary to assure index statistical integrity.

Professor Chau Kwong Wing

Professor Chau Kwong Wing is the Chair Professor of Department of Real Estate and Construction of The University of Hong Kong. He obtained his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from The University of Hong Kong. Professor Chau has been teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at The University of Hong Kong since 1987. Professor Chau is also guest professor of Tsinghua University, Tongji University and Tianjin University. He was also the president of the International Real Estate Society (2000-01) and first president of the Asian Real Estate Society (1996-7). Professor Chau received the International Real Estate Society Achievement Award in 1999. The award is presented once annually to an individual in recognition of his/her achievements in real estate research, education and practices at the international level. In 1999 he also received The University of Hong Kong Outstanding Young Researcher Award. Professor Chau's main areas of research are real estate investment, real estate finance and economics, construction economics, building performance assessment and performance of the real estate and construction sectors. Most of his works are empirical studies with implications for policy makers, developers and investors. He has published and presented more than 150 technical and academic papers. Professor Chau also serves on the editorial boards of more then 10 international peer-reviewed academic journals. He has taught and supervised many postgraduate students. Many of his graduates are now holding key positions in industry and academia.
